Introducing Blue Coat PacketShaper 8.6

Blue Coat is pleased to announce the availability of PacketShaper 8.6. With this major new release, PacketShaper adds classification by URL category to its rich set of visibility and control features. Powered by WebPulse, the classification by URL category feature gives users unmatched control over the performance of HTTP traffic based on its content category. For example, users can allow content categories such as Social Networking (like Facebook), but squeeze problematic content, such as Games (like Farmville). PacketShaper 8.6 software is available now for customers with current support contracts, and can be installed on all currently shipping models and the PacketShaper 1400.
